I finally had my first car accident ( not my fault). The three of us were in the car and we were about to get on the freeway. It was a busy intersection. All of the sudden, my friend lost his control of the car and almost hit the car in the next lane. Fortunately, we didnt. Everyone was ok. I was in the front seat and it was kinda scary ( weird, but somehow I knew right there we would be ok, it's nice to have faith, ehhehe). We were in the middle of traffic and everyone was honking. One of the front tires has fell off, it was stucked under the car but definitely not attached to the 'bar' anymore. We called AAA and then some towing company about 2 miles away. It took forever for them to come ( almost 40 minutes). Finally a cop came, hahaha, for the 1st time, it was kinda comforting to see a cop. He helped calling the towing company.
It costs almost $300 to reattach that tire
(how the heck could it be so expensive). If it had happened 5 minutes later, we might have been dead by now
cos we would have been on the freeway by the time the tire fell off and you know how it is.
so glad I am still alive. Yay
PS: it was kinda cool to stand in the middle of the street and watch cars go by. I had never got to do that before
